Manas Bhattacharyya

Manas Bhattacharyya is a social development and responsible business professional with more than three decades of experience working across grassroots, intermediary, national, and international contexts. Throughout his career, he has led complex research, monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment, organizational development, and business and human rights engagements for development agencies, donor organizations, civil society institutions, and private sector stakeholders across South Asia and beyond.

He has designed and led over 250 evaluations, impact assessments, outcome harvesting exercises, and research studies, while also facilitating more than 300 social, legal, labour, and human rights assessments across multiple countries and sectors. His expertise spans monitoring and evaluation, business and human rights, ESG and compliance risk assessments, supply chain sustainability, workplace improvement, stakeholder engagement, organizational assessments, and capacity strengthening.

CO-FOUNDER & HEAD OF OPERATIONS

Mrinmay Bhattacharyya

Mrinmay Bhattacharyya is a management professional with a background in analytics, data-driven decision-making, and operational management. As Co-Founder and Head of Operations at MM Synergy Consultancy LLP, he oversees organizational operations, proposal development, project coordination, systems management, and business development functions, helping ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality consulting, research, and advisory services.

Prior to co-founding MM Synergy, Mrinmay worked with Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory, where he developed analytical models, conducted complex data analysis, and supported structured decision-making processes. Drawing on his experience in quantitative analysis, data validation, and reporting, he contributes to monitoring, evaluation, and research assignments through data management, analytical support, and the development of evidence-based frameworks for project implementation and assessment.

Building on his analytical background, Mrinmay has developed expertise in applying data-driven and financial analysis techniques to support evidence-based decision-making across a range of organisational contexts. His areas of interest and technical capability include Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessments, Living Wage studies, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) advisory, business analytics, and the development of analytical frameworks that enable organisations to measure performance, assess impact, and strengthen strategic decision-making.

Mrinmay also has a strong interest in data storytelling and the communication of evidence through clear, engaging, and accessible narratives. He believes that the value of data lies not only in rigorous analysis but also in its ability to inform decisions, influence stakeholders, and drive meaningful change. By integrating analytical findings with visual communication, structured reporting, and concise narratives, he helps transform complex data into practical insights that are meaningful for clients, donors, corporate leaders, and development practitioners.
